Welcome to the start of your training at CrossFit Downey. This course is 4 hours of small group instructional sessions designed to introduce you to the basic CrossFit movement techniques. These coaching sessions are specifically designed as a gateway to joining our regularly scheduled group classes covering topics of proper mechanics, safety in the gym, fitness goals, nutritional assessment, and programming. Furthermore, the course introduces the element of competition among camaraderie. Once you have completed the 4 hours, you may begin your membership at CFD.
Okay, now that you’ve completed and kicked butt in the Fundamentals Class, you’re ready for the most intense, energizing, sometimes agonizing yet still enjoyable group classes you’ve ever experienced. Our group classes are small, supportive, never the same, and always a blast! All our memberships are unlimited! Once you pay for the month you can come to any class and as often as you’d like! The possibilities are endless.

Not sure if CrossFit Downey is for you? Come try us out for free! We host a newbie class every Saturday at 9:00 am. The class is designed to familiarize you with the CrossFit fundamentals and to allow you to meet the Trainers and other CrossFitters. You will be able to join in on the fun and experience the CrossFit spirit on your first day.
During your session, we will explain the basic movements and methods as well as introduce you to the day-to-day structure of the classes. Because the CrossFit program is so unique, we will work with you personally to ensure all your questions are being answered and that you are completing each workout correctly. We will also answer any questions you have about membership packages and joining!
Don’t worry! It is totally free to try us out! No high-pressure sales tactics. No obligation to join. We promise!

CrossFit member since August 2010. Level 1certificate since April 2013. CrossFit Kids coach since October 2013. Plays softball, hikes, and loves walks with her dog, Jax.
CrossFit member since April of 2013. Level 1 certificate since June of 2014. NLI 2014, Triple Threat 2014 Ragnar Relay Race 2015. Played 4 years high school football, love being active and playing any sport.
CrossFit member since 2010. Level1 since 2011. 1st CrossFit strongman comp 2011. Ragnar runner 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015 Local Olympic lifting and CrossFit competitor. CPR certified. Hobbies include: Surfing and Running.
